Woolwell Centre Community Garden

Space Landscape Architects were commissioned to design a concept for a new community garden and outdoor café space at the Woolwell Centre. The project reimagined a small section of the existing car park as a multifunctional and welcoming outdoor area.

The design includes new seating, raised planters for community gardening, playful planting, and improved lighting, creating an attractive space for socialising and relaxation. Features such as an outdoor cinema, giant chess and a children’s play area add vibrancy and encourage people of all ages to enjoy the space throughout the year.

This compact but creative scheme demonstrates how thoughtful landscape design can transform underused areas into engaging and functional community assets.
